Pilates mat classes focus on developing core strength and flexibility (abdominals, back, hips) through matching breath with movement. Classes are done on Pilates mats on the floor using one's body weight to strengthen, lengthen and tone the core.
Core Fusion classes are a blend of classic Pilates mat work, standing Pilates and yoga. Core Fusion is taught in a fun atmosphere where no yoga or Pilates experience is necessary. Options and modifications will always be given. This is a challenging fun workout that you will make you feel wonderful!
Bar Classes ~ New! Utilizing a ballet bar, light weights and a mat this class will sculpt your legs, hips, abdominals and arms. This is a not a ballet class, we simply use the bar for balance and stability. This class incorporates the Pilates principles with intense muscle toning exercises for your whole body.
Yoga This class combines elements of Release Technique and Laban Movement Analysis, a codified system for analyzing and structuring movement. Adding to the basic structure and terminology of a Yoga class, this 60 minute series of stretching, strengthening, and re-calibrating movements aims to leave each student with a deeper sense of their three-dimensionality, efficient alignment, and a toned body and mind.
